Take a trip into the world of the subconscious with ‘The Dark Knight’ director Christopher Nolan’s mind-bending thriller. Packed with pulse-pounding action scenes and an incredible cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ellen Page, this is the stuff dreams are made of!

Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved.

Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one.

If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Four Lions (Amaray) DVD – £3 Delivered @ HMV

Love this film, great price.

A handful of young men set out to take on the decadent West but are more of a threat to themselves than anyone else in this black comedy from teh creator of BRASS EYE, Chris Morris. Omar (Riz Ahmed) is a devout Muslim living in the United Kingdom who has decided to form a terrorist cell to bring forth a jihad against a culture he believes is dominated by the sinful and ignorant. However, Omar isn’t much of leader, and he’s assembled an unimpressive team of fellow terrorists, among them Waj (Kayvan Novak), who lacks the brainpower to come up with ideas or direction on his own; Faisal (Adeel Akhtar), who is shy and doesn’t have much to say; and Barry (Nigel Lindsay), a recent convert to Islam who tries to make up for his lack of practical knowledge with fierce passion. As Omar and his comrades debate both doctrine and methods, they ponder such notions as using birds as explosive devices, creating video communiqués with a hip-hop flavor, and attacking mosques in an effort to provoke non-violent Muslims. But are Omar and his partners a legitimate threat to the safety of Great Britain, or just four half-bright twenty-somethings with more bluster than imagination?

A Monster In Paris Blu-ray (3D & 2D & DVD) – £8.80 at HMV (with code)

A great price for a new release only out this week. It was fairly cheap to begin with anyway, but £8.80 is a steal. Use code H8BLU20 to get this price.

Bibo Bergeron’s charming animated adventure UN MONSTRE A PARIS (A MONSTER IN PARIS) tells the story of a giant mutated flea who is taken in by a Parisian cabaret singer. Luc Besson produced the French fairytale, which stars Vanessa Paradis as the voice of Lucille the kindly singer in the original language version, with Sean Lennon lending his voice to the flea in the English version.
